And this is what I intended to address in the article - these two issues should be considered separately.  Handling illegal immigrants that are already here does not change the need to address immigration laws for future immigrants to the U.S.   You are entitled to your extreme, unwavering view.  The act of immigration without the proper paperwork to this country is indeed illegal and should be curtailed.  However, the definition of illegal immigration is set by the outdated laws we have currently in place.
