Since spring is here, now might be a great time to evaluate some things in your life and do a little spring cleaning. Here are four areas to consider:
Your thoughts. If you’ve let negative thoughts and limiting beliefs creep back into your mind, it’s time to do something about it! Remember, your reality is only as positive as your thoughts; so, start thinking positively about yourself and your abilities, and begin to speak life into any and all situations you encounter. When you do this, your life will start changing for the better.
The people around you. One of my favorite quotes from Oprah is, “Surround yourself only with people who are going to lift you higher.” In other words, you need to be around people who are positive, encouraging and who push you to become better, and get rid of the ones who have negative attitudes and those holding you back. If you can’t completely cut the person out of your life (for example, a relative), limit your contact and conversation with him or her. This can be a very liberating move.
Your goals. If you’re like most of us, you set a few goals at the beginning of the year. Now is a great time to assess how you’ve been doing on them. Determine if you’re still on track, need to work harder or try a new method.
Your quality of life. While it’s important to have and work towards your goals, it’s equally important to have time just for you a few times a week and to enjoy life. If you’re not already, make time to relax and rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit.
