Curve ALERT! Fashion fits ALL
Curve ALERT! Fashion fits ALL

Fashion for the bitsy ones, fashion for the hippy ones. One size fits ALL is the new fashion mantra, so, at least that’s what photographers Terry Richardson & Solve Sundsbo believes. And, so, I adore, because here at Queen Tahj, we celebrate the diversity spectrum of beauty. Beauty is a size 2 and beauty is size 18, period. I am ecstatic- January 14th 2010 is the day V Magazine Issue #63 will hit newsstands. This issue, The Size Issue, will be liberating. The pages of fashion will be fuller, thicker, bold and CURVAIOUCS!

V Magazine and Models.com… joined forces with photographers Terry Richardson & Solve Sunbsbo for a dynamic two day exclusive Spring 2010 preview. Terry was in charge of Day 1: One Size Fits Al1. Day 2: Curves Ahead was lead by the fresh photographer Solve Sundsbo.

I think fashion should be portrayed on a variety of body types because our society isn’t comprised of just one body type nor should one body type be displayed as our societal norm. I hope more media outlets will catch on and start using models of various types. We are overcoming the racial (somewhat) barrier and now it’s time to place some focus on the different body types.

This is such a great development! For years, women like me have been stigmatized for being over a size 6 but what people forget is the most well-known sex symbol in the world was a size 12 – marilyn monroe. Luckily, magazines and ad agencies are realizing the beauty of a curvy woman. FABULOUS!!

A wonderful development, indeed! Fashion is turning the tables on size, now, we are just waiting for race. We need to see more African American decent on the runway, billboards, magazines and advertisement.

Starting a Business: Five Rookie Mistakes to Avoid
Socialize This Post:ShareTweet By Ali Brown According to the U.S. Government Small Business Administration’s home page, about 50 percent of small businesses fail within the first five years.
