Jeyfree
Jeyfree, hailing from Houston, TX is a what I’d like to call beauty, brains, and business- with an uber generous splash of CREATIVITY to boot! With her rather unique upbringing, of being raised soley by her English grandmother in the Bronx, NY, she was exposed to the arts at an early age. I believe its pretty safe to say that her early appreciation for art, and more specifically, painting, are the very nuts and bolts behind the beautifully ingenuitive mastermind of the evolving JEYFREE custom designed and hand painted eairpieces of today. Jeyfree has a special affinity for helping women not only adorn their exterior with socially-conscious and one of a kind jewelry, but she also cares about the inner-most spirits of women who feel forgotten. This sincerity is precisely what has propelled JEYFREE jewelry into such a grassroots style sensation. And for this, B|B|C salutes Ms. Jeyfree.
As a pro-active citizen of the international community, Jeyfree recently this Summer, went on a mission trip to Nairobi, Kenya to share her passion and business acumen regarding artisan entrepreneurship with local Nairobi artists who are seeking to develop self-reliance and a viable livelihood out of their cultural jewelry making practices. Jeyfree was one of two selected artists to participate in this mission program developed by The Awakenings Movement, a faith-based organization comprised of a community of artists seeking to make a change with their gifts and talents.

To know Jeyfree, means you have been in some shape or form summoned by her distinct and alluring style of fashion. She has extended her eye for clever visuals not only as a jewelry designer but, also as a stylist. One of her most prominent clients is the Houston, TX – native band, Neon Collars (pictured 2nd last). A band of which the lead singer, Franchelle B. Lucas and I share the same alma mater, Fisk University! ( I love my HBCU!)

To don a one of a kind JEYFREE creation or perhaps stock your boutique shelves with these mini-canvases of truth, email Jeyfree @ customjeyfree@gmail.com… . Also, visit Jeyfree’s blog to keep up to date with her evolution as a creative tycoon, road to FREE(DOM) !

God Forgives, I Don’t.
Socialize This Post:ShareTweet “God forgives, I don’t.” Wow. That’s a pretty strong statement, but to me there is some truth to it. I am the first to admit that I hold  grudges. I’m still mad at Eric Peterson for punching me in the 3rd grade. I will take a dispute to the grave. We [...]

[Book Review] Sellout by James W. Lewis
