Artoony| a lot of artsy + a lil’ cartoony

The whimsical marriage of surrealism and pop art is Artoony. This portfolio of multi-media paintings by London, UK based artist, Ellen Groth Reddie are equally mind-titallating as they are sensual . Born and raised in Norway, Reddie developed her craft as an art student at Einar Granum Kunstfagskole. And since then, both her admiration for famed surrealists such as, Dali and her affinity towards bright colors has led to her creation of an artsy, yet cartoony style of painting, better known as Artoony. Her works have won her much acclaim on both sides of the big pond, and in result Artoony art exhibitions constantly travel Europe and the United States.

I particularly love her paintings that involve women subjects. They are so introspective and seem to capture the other-worldly nature of a women’s deepest unconscious driftings. -What a beautiful mind!

Artoony is highlighted this month in the B|B|C hearts these works of Art section. – Check out the sidebar! Enjoy! ;-)
